"Turnkey" Services Available

Turnkey projects
are those where Britcab are involved from conception to completion and involve
a number of services some or all of which can be undertaken when we supply quality
second hand portable cabins. The
following list gives examples of these services but can also be used as a
checklist for requirements you will need to address:
- Building Regulations and Planning Approval – we can prepare and submit your plans
to local authorities for approval including any construction details and
plan drawings that are required.
- Health & Safety – we can provide detailed and site specific method
statements and risk assessments of the installation of a portable cabin or
modular building including the use of an appointed person to take control
of a crane lift that may be required.
- Site Clearance and Groundworks – We will design and install the foundations for
your building if required including other ancillary services such as
bringing mains services to the site and surface water drainage systems. If you prefer to use others we will of
course provide detailed foundation drawings for others to work from.
- Access Systems – steps and ramps to external doors can be installed to any of our
second hand temporary buildings. In
addition, lifts and internal staircases can be provided. All access systems can be fully DDA
compliant to suit your specific site when required.
- Delivery & Installation – We use reliable hauliers to transport our cabins
and modular buildings. Free site
surveys to check access are available on request. Sometimes this involves accurate
measurement to install in the tightest of locations.
- Cranes – Our
portable buildings are often installed using mobile cranes which will
always involve the full implementation of a health & safety plan.
- Mains Services Connections – Once the building is in place we can connect the
electricity, mains water and drainage to the adjacent services
- Air Conditioning – wall mounted or ceiling mounted climate control systems are
available to provide a comfortable working environment for staff. Systems are designed to suit the layout
of the site accommodation.
- Furniture, Fixtures & Fittings – From desks and chairs to the clock ticking on the
wall! We can provide you with a
list of what furniture you may require in the portable accommodation and
get you the best price without any compromise on quality.
- Structured Cabling and Phone Systems – This cabling is generally either run
in 3 compartment trunking or to floor boxes which are particularly useful
in open plan office environments.
